Four Sports Utility Vehicles (SUV) were delivered to the Cebu City Hall in April but only two of these could be accounted for.
Acting Mayor Margot Osmeña said they are still trying to locate the whereabouts of the two other units of the city’s brand new Mitsubishi Montero worth P1.4 million each.
“Strange things are happening huh”, Osmeña told reporters in her noontime press conference.
Osmeña also found out that the vehicle purchase was made even in the absence of a duly approved purchase order (PO).
While delivery was already made last month, Osmeña said, payment amounting to a total of P5. 6 million cannot be made because of the purchase’s lack of a PO.
“Warning sad sa mga suppliers nga kinahanglan mo agi sa ug processo. Ngano mag deliver sila unya wala pay documento? Kinsa man ang mag (problema) sila sad,” Osmeña said.
Ronaldo Malacora, assistant head of the Government Services Office (GSO), they now have possession of two of the four new Monteros which were turned over on Friday by Department of Social Welfare and Service (DSWS) head Ester Concha and Department for the Welfare of the Urban Poor (DWUP) head Collin Russel.
