CEBUANO junior netter Chad Connor Cuizon bagged his third straight 10th unisex title in the Palawan Pawnshop – Palawan Express Pera Padala (PPS-PEPP) regional tennis tournament over the weekend in Maasin City, Leyte.
The eight-year-old Cuizon from Lapu-Lapu City, who won the Dumaguete and Bohol legs early this month, displayed a remarkable performance in the final round to beat Aaesha Bandalan in straight sets, 4-1, 5-3.
On the other hand, University of the Visayas ace Norman Enriquez defeated Marcus Del Rosario, 7-6 (5), 6-2, to bag the premier 18-under boys’ crown.
In the girls’ play, Batang Pinoy gold medalist Zethley Mae Alferez blasted Shyne Villareal, 6-1, 6-1, in an all-Cebuana final to win the 18-under girls’ category.
