Tied with identical 2-2 (win-loss) records, the two teams continue in their mad dash to finish in the top four at the end of the elimination round and qualify for the semifinals, which will be another round-robin affair.

UC, in particular, has shown massive improvement owing to the tutelage of new head coach Kern Sesante.

At his disposal is a battalion of gritty players led by rookie sensation Geleant Delator, athletic forward JR Puerto and speedy guard Justine Dacalos.

Standing opposite the Webmasters is a Jaguars team filled with talent led by Cesafi Mythical Five forward RJ Dinolan, athletic wingmen Tricky Peromingan and Miguel Gastador and crafty point guard Jaybie Mantilla.

Meanwhile, a match between the Phinma-Southwestern University (SWU) Cobras and the My Led Opto-Cebu Institute of Technology-University (CIT-U) Wildcats will open the hostilities today.

At 3-1, the Cobras are currently running in second place behind the unbeaten University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers.

Their opponents, on the other hand, have groped for form all tournament-long and is mired at the bottom of the standings at 1-4, alongside the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF).

Expected to flourish once again is two-time Cesafi MVP Mac Tallo, prized rookie find Sir Shaquille Imperial, the returning Bernie Bregondo and veteran guard Jun Luz.

CIT-U, on the other hand, will lean on rookie big man Rey Navarra and a slew of capable guards led by Marlo Pono and Karl Lucena.
