Council to dump P9.8 billion budget, pass a new one

THE Cebu City Council approved a resolution returning the P9.8 billion proposed annual budget intended this year for another revised budget to be submitted by acting Mayor Margot Osmeña.

With only three members, the council passed Councilor Antonio Cuenco’s resolution to discard the P9.8 billion budget proposed under the outgoing Rama administration for another budget this year.

Osmeña said it would be easier for them to draft another budget that is simpler and will conform to the city government’s needs.
