THE IDOL TV Series of ALA Promotions International will be officially re-launched today at the Saint Marks Hotel.
After a two-year hiatus, the series returns to continue its quest of discovering new talents in boxing.
One of the most notable boxers to come out from the IDOL TV Series is reigning WBO inter-continental super bantamweight champion “Prince”Albert Pagara (26-0,18KOs) who is now training in the United States for his July 9 fight against Cesar Juarez of Mexico in San Mateo, California.
Other noted boxers that were featured in the boxing series were former ALA Boxing Gym pug Melvin Gumban (19-1, 10KOs) and Mark Vincent Bernaldez (15-1, 10KOs).
The boxing show hopes to be the stepping stone of promising Filipino boxers.
The series is now named IDOL 2 which will have its first fight card next month.
ALA Boxing Gym prospects Jeo “Santino” Santisima (10-2, 9KOs) and Melvin “Gringo” Jerusalem (9-0, 7KOs) will lead today’s launching along with ALA Promotions International team.
