THE Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO) will continue to conduct checkpoints though the Commission on Elections’ (Comelec) gun ban has ended, Senior Supt. Jonathan Cabal of MCPO said.

Since the Comelec gun ban took effect from January 10 to June 8, at least 38 individuals were arrested in police checkpoints for bearing guns.

The MCPO also seized 224.43 grams of alleged shabu worth around P2 million from a total of 111 persons during the five-month period.
