FANS of Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo will be seeing less of her on screen, as she plans to take a two-month leave to rest.

An ABS-CBN report said the singer-actress plans to spend her vacation abroad to recover from some health issues.

The Viva talent admitted that it was the same reason why she had to call off her scheduled  appearance on the “MTV Music Evolution” on June 24. The 27-year-old performer, however, did not elaborate why she needed to take time off from work.

Last May 26, MTV Asia announced that due to health reasons, Geronimo will no longer join the lineup of performers for their event.

In a press statement, Paras Sharma, senior vice president of MTV Asia said: “We are disappointed that she cannot share the stage with her fans in the Philippines and with the world on June 24th. We wish Sarah a speedy recovery. Health comes first.”

Earlier, Geronimo also begged off from coaching duties on the current season of “The Voice Kids Philippines, and praised her replacement on the show, Megastar Sharon Cuneta.

“Okay naman (ako ngayon). Hindi naman po siya malalang sakit. Hindi na lang po ako magbibigay ng details pero inaayos naman po,” she said.

“Kailangan lang i-improve ‘yung health. Kailangan lang bigyan ng atensyon kung bakit nahihirapan sa ganito or sa ganyan,” Geronimo added.

She is positive that upon her return, she would do more movie and TV projects, as well as rejoin “The Voice Kids Philippines” as one of the coaches.
