The anti-illegal drug operations started with a buy-bust operation in Barangay Gunting, Barili town at 9 a.m. on Friday in western Cebu where four persons were arrested and 30 sachets of suspected shabu worth at least P9,000 were confiscated.

All of the suspects are from Barangay Maigang, Barili.
PINAMUNGAJAN RAID
On the same day at 4 p.m. in Barangay Poblacion, Pinamungajan town in western Cebu, police, who were armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Hermes Montero of the Regional Trial Court Branch 56 in Toledo City, served the warrant, searched Dindo Bagahasol’s house and found 4 large packs and 6 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 23 grams, which have an estimated street value of P271,400.

At 7 p.m. in Barangay Poblacion, Argao town in southern Cebu, police arrested Ricardo Villamora, 54, a resident of the barangay, during a buy-bust operation.
According to Argao police, they confiscated 4 small sachets of suspected shabu from Villamora and P200 cash believed to be proceeds of his illegal trade.
CARCAR SHOOTOUT
At 10 a.m. on Saturday in Barangay Perrelos, Carcar town in southern Cebu, police killed a drug suspect in a shootout during a buy-bust operation.
Dionisio “Jojo” Racho died after he sustained a lethal gunshot wound to his body during the shootout, said SPO1 Francis Villamor, team leader of the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) buy-bust operation.
Villamor said while an undercover policeman, who acted as the buyer, was negotiating to buy illegal drugs, Racho pulled out a gun when he sensed that he was negotiating with a policeman.
The police team moved in and Racho fired at them. No policeman was hit but Racho was hit in the body in the return fire. He was brought to the Carcar District Hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Villamor said they recovered a .45 caliber pistol with two magazines loaded with nine bullets, 5 large packs and a sachet of suspected shabu weighing 27 grams, with an estimated street value of P318,600.
He said barangay residents described Racho as a barangay toughie, who would allegedly brandish his gun in the barangay.
He said they were looking into reports that Racho received his supply of illegal drugs from National Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa.
Racho, who was out on bail for a pending drug case, had been convicted of murder and served a prison sentence in New Bilibid Prison, Villamor added.
