A PENSION house owned by the mother of slain suspected drug operator Jeffrey “Jaguar” Diaz was strafed on Saturday dawn.

Angelita Bonghanoy, who is assigned at the information desk of the establishment told Talisay Police investigators that two men on board a black motorcycle stopped in front of the pension house at around 3 a.m. on Saturday.

SPO2 Yvonne Illustrisimo, investigator of Talisay City Police Office (TCPO), said that their investigation revealed that the motorcycle passenger, who was wearing a ski mask, pulled out a gun and fired at the glass main door and the glass window on the second floor of the building and then immediately fled.

Police recovered 22 empty shells of a .9mm gun including three deformed slugs.

No one was reported hurt from the incident.

Police said the name appearing on the permit of Gau Pension House located along Mansueto Drive in Barangay Tabunok, Talisay City is that of Jaguar’s mother Gaudiosa Diaz.

Supt. Germano Mallari, TCPO chief, said the strafing could be connected to Jaguar’s alleged illegal drug trade.

“Basin ug duna ni siya’y nakontra sa iyang illegal nga negosyo. Unya murag pahinumdum lang ba (Maybe he had enemies in his illegal business. Maybe it was a sort of a reminder to him),” Mallari said.
