Top Samboan drug suspect nabbed

The suspected top drug dealer in Samboan town was finally arrested in a buy bust operation by local police at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Jeffrey Dugaduga Navarro, a 37-year-old resident of Suba, Samboan town, was arrested after he gave one sachet of shabu worth P300 to a police decoy.

The team of Samboan police precinct chief Insp. Carmechaelo Lesoy conducted the buy bust after several months of surveillance.

“He’s slippery, quite tough to catch,” P01 Cesar Catubig of the Samboan police precinct said.

Catubig said his colleagues positioned near Navarro’s house since Monday and saw Navarro show up at 6:15 p.m. near his home for the transaction.

The police decoy approached and bought one small sachet of shabu worth P300. When the deal ended, police came out and arrested Navarro who had two small sachets of shabu worth P1,416.

Navarro who is now detained at the Samboan precinct will be charged for violating Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
