Two killed while two others injured during separate drug operation conducted by police authorities in Cebu province

Liloan

Around 1 a.m. at Wednesday at Barangay Tabla, a man, identified as Andre Sayora Jr, 33, along with his live-in partner was killed.

SPO2 Bryan Batiquin, Police Desk Officer of Liloan Police Station, said that Sayosa was considered a big time drug pusher in the area.

During the buy bust operation, led by Senior Inspector Ramil Morpos, Sayosa tried to throw a grenade and pulled out his gun to shoot the raiding team but was shot first by the team.

Also arrested were Sayosa’s live-in partner,  identified as Lee Cocotmaya, 21, and cohort Jesus Gungog, 23, and Reynaldo Enocsan, 31, who are both residents in the area.

Recovered from Cocotmaya was the 700 peso mark money as she was the one who handed over a small sachet to the poseur buyer, while Gungog and Enocsan each had one big pack recovered from them respectively.

The operation lef the confiscation of 3 small sachets, 5 big packs containing illegal drugs, believed to be shabu weighing 20 grams worth 236 thousand pesos, one hand grenade, and a s .45 caliber pistol with two magazines.

After the buy bust operation, SPO2 Batiquin said they also followed the implementation of a search warrant unto the house of Sayosa which is around 1 kilometer away from the place where the buy bust operation was conducted. Recovered from the house was another 15 grams of illegal drugs that is said to be worth around 177 thousand pesos

Dumanjug

Also in Barangay Lawaan, Dumanjug also killed Florencio Cinco, a man identified as of legal age and a resident of the said place, during the buy bust operation conducted around 5 a.m. last Tuesday.

Police said that Cinco shot the raiding team, led by Inspector Rogelio Amoroso, thrice upon sensing that he was transacting to a cop prompting the authorities to return fire hitting different parts of his body.

Cinco was brought to Barili District Hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.

Also arrested was Cinco’s 17 year old son who was carrying assorted drug paraphernalia while recovered from the possession of Cinco was 2 large packs containing illegal drugs believed to be shabu, .38 caliber revolver with three bullets and three empty shells.

The boy is now in the custody of Dumanjug Police Station.

In San Remigio

John Mark Lodivica, 20, of Barangay Punta, was injured in the butt when shot the team led by Senior Inspector Stephen Amamag-id during the buy bust operation conducted last Monday night.

Lodivica was the cohort of the actual subject of the operation identified as Evelio Tod-Tod Sr, 41, married, a resident of the said place.

Lodivica let Tod-Tod escape after he shot the operatives said PO2 Dante Teaño. He was hit in the butt after he also tried to escape.

Also arrested during the buy bust operation were four persons, identified as Elmer Asingua, 32, of Barangay Hagnaya, San Remegio, Jupiter Santillan, 26, of Barangay Cabat, Bantayan, Manuel Ruelan, 45, of Barangay Hagnaya, San Remegio and Sergio Pino, 31, of Madridejos who were in a pot session.

Confiscated from Asingua was 1 large pack, Santillan and Pino each had one small sachet. Another 3 small sachets and 1 large pack scattered the ground while s.38 caliber revolver with 5 bullets and 5 bullets of .45 from Lodivica.

In Pinamungajan

About 200 thousand pesos worth of illegal drugs were confiscated from a big time drug pusher who was arrested around 4 p.m. last Tuesday at Barangay Poblacion.

The suspect was identified as Charlito Benlot Guanzon, 34, married.

Inspector Gilfred Baroman, who led the buy bust operation, said that residents in the area were already complaining about the illegal activities of the suspect.

The police immediately conducted a two week surveillance against the suspect which resulted in his arrest.

Recovered from his possession are 3 large pack and 9 small sachets weighing 16 grams worth 188 thousand pesos also recovered a small sachet worth 200 pesos as subject of the buy bust.

In Asturias

Arrested in Sitio Dugong, Barangay Uwak was a couple who were already in the watch list of Asturias Police Station.

The suspects were identified as Nemecio Caballero, 43, and his wife, Teodora, 44.

Senior Inspector Danilo Santillan, Chief of Asturias Police Station, along with his men were armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Hermes Montero of RTC 7 Branch 59 Toledo City.

The couple were awaken around 6 a.m. last Tuesday when operatives came.

About 17 grams of illegal drugs believed to be shabu composed of 26 small sachets and 1 medium size that is said to be worth 200 thousand pesos.

PO2 Landy Devinagracia of Asturias Police Station said that the couple did not resist when operatives came and searched their house.

According to PO2 Devinagracia, barangay officials and residents were already complaining about the couple’s illegal activities when some of their out of school youths have become dependent.
