Fire razed 50 houses and damaged 10 more at Sitio PC Hill Lower road in Barangay Apas, Cebu City at around 12 noon Friday.
After initial investigation. Barangay Apas Captain Ramil Ayuman said that the fire totally damaged 50 houses, which are built with light materials.
According to Josephine Fetiluna, the owner of the house where the fire originated, she saw a spark and then an explosion which then started the fire.
The fire was put under control at 12:40 p.m. Investigators are still trying to determine the total cost of damage to property.
Ayuman said they will conduct an emergency meeting later today to talk about the evacuation plans of the victims as well as announce a state of calamity./UP Cebu Intern Patrick Gattoc
