Four injured in coastal road mishap

At least four persons were injured after a dump truck plowed six cars and three motorcycles while traveling along the Cebu South Coastal Road (CSCR) on Talisay City’s side on Friday night.

PO3 Aquiles Cabando of the Talisay City traffic division said the injured individuals were brought to the Talisay City District Hospital for treatment.

Witness Jum Kenneth Evangelista Alcover said the accident which happened about 6 p.m. caused heavy congestion at the CSCR.

He said the vehicles occupied the CSCR’s right lane causing traffic obstruction in the area. He said rescue operations continued until about 8 p.m.

Cabando said they now have custody of the truck driver while they investigate the cause of the accident.
