All that Glitters – Amanda and Cacay

ALL that Glitters is not just gold for Amanda Luym and her cousin Cacay Moras-Server. It could be sterling silver, as is, or plated with 24-karat gold, or any of the metals rhodium for instance — that are now used to forge imaginative pieces of jewelry.

All that Glitters is their name brand, and it could also stand for a plethora of precious and semi-precious stones that come in all colors and shapes.

They are based in Manila but from time to time they come to Cebu for exclusive showings with their treasure trove that gather the cream of Cebu high society ladies.

A recent one was held at Debbie Palao’s Holicow design shop at Crossroads in Banilad. What a turnout that was, and fun, too.

As Amanda and Cacay attended to their clientele, greeting all were Amanda’s parents, Douglas and Annabelle Luym, she being Amanda’s best model.

One can say the same about Cacay’s mother, Sonia Fernandez Moras who got herself a set ring and earrings — mounted with large emerald-cut aquamarines, in the best hue of limpid blue. See, that’s the secret. The gems are authentic, and one can say highly exotic, sourced as they are from legendary mines all over Asia, Africa, South America, even the USA or unexpected European enclaves.

The gems may come from wherever, but the important factor is that they are designed, created and realized in the Philippines, by Filipino artisans well steeped in high quality craftsmanship. All you have to do is see and touch, or better still, wear what is churned out by All that Glitters.
