Sand and gravel dealer shot dead

A SAND and gravel dealer died due to gunshot wounds on his nape at Purok 5, Barangay San Jose, Cebu City, last Monday morning.

The 47-year-old victim was identified as Romeo Ople, a resident of barangay San Jose. Cebu City police cited personal grudge as a possible motive in Ople’s murder. The suspect, who remains unidentified, is still at large.

Ople was with his 17-year-old nephew when he delivered sand to one of his customers located 50 meters away from their yard when the suspect blocked their path and shot the victim.

Ople was rushed to the North General Hospital but failed to make it. His nephew was unharmed./UP Cebu Intern Morexette Marie Erram
