A 37-YEAR-OLD construction worker died after he was stabbed by a neighbor in sitio Kauswagan Barangay Bankal, Lapu-Lapu City Tuesday evening.
SPO2 Manolito Abellanosa of the Lapu-Lapu City police’s homicide section identified the victim as Giovanni Barcelo, a resident of the area while the suspect was identified as 44-year-old Rolando Igot.
Abellanosa said the victim was headed home when Igot allegedly stabbed him several times.
Igot fled the scene while the neighbors rushed Barcelo to the Mactan Doctors Hospital where he died later. Abellanosa said the suspect held a personal grudge against the victim.
