CEBU Gov. Hilario Davide III took his oath of office for his second term at the Capitol Social Hall Thursday morning.

In his speech, Davide vowed to continue the programs he started in his first term that began in 2013. In his first inaugural speech, he promised change and transparency in the Capitol. “I did my work and you gave me this. So I will continue to embrace this change. I will give to you what you are asking for. In my second term of office, you can expect to see me and hear of me more often. You will see whatever I am doing–big or small–for you, especially those in the cities and the countryside,” he said.

Davide and Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale took their oaths of office before Court of Appeals Justice Japar Dimaampao, Davide’s cousin-in-law. Provincial Board (PB) Members Yolanda Daan (1st district), Horacio Franco (4th district), Jerome Christian Librando and Christopher Baricuatro (7th district) were sworn into office by Davide.
