ASPIRING duathletes are in for a treat as two duathlon races are scheduled on July 17 in separate venues.
After changing schedules twice, the Duraman Off Road Duathlon will finally fire off in Mantalongon, Dalaguete town, southern Cebu on July 17.
The event was originally scheduled on May 1 and was later moved to May 28.
Race Director Jerome Mil said the race will have a no. 3 degree of difficulty, which means that the race tracks will be surrounded with loose rocks and soil.
“The athletes can expect cool and breezy weather, scenic views, medium level challenges and a one of a kind competition,” Mil said.
Top three finishers in the male division will bag P7,000; P5,000; and P3,000, while the the first three finishers in the distaff side will go home with P5,000; P3,000; and P2,000, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Sicad Club of Primary Structures Corporation will also play host to the 1st Primary Group Builders Duathlon on the same day in Compostela town, northern Cebu.
The race will have the Women’s open and relay, Men’s 29-Under, Men’s 30-39 and Men’s 40-Above categories.
Registration fee is pegged at P500 for the individual categories and P800 for the relay competitions.
