CEBU Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (Penro) head Baltazar Tribunalo yesterday vowed to unmask all Capitol employees involved in alleged extortion activities.
Tribunalo said Penro would begin its investigation this week, in response to a revelation made by Gov. Hilario Davide III during his inaugural speech last Thursday.
Davide, in his speech, vowed to stop extortion activities involving Capitol employees, particularly those assigned at Penro.
Tribunalo said those proven to be involved in such activities would be fired. However, Tribunalo said these employees could resign instead.
“July 1 na, if ganahan mo (if you want to) mo-resign because you feel that you are guilty of this kind of (wrongdoing), please do it,” he said.
