A SUSPECTED drug pusher allegedly involved in the killing of some drug personalities in Minglanilla town, southern Cebu was nabbed in his home at around 8 p.m. last Sunday.

The suspect identified as Charlie Navales Aliño, 38, of Ward I, Barangay Poblacion, Minglanilla town, southern Cebu was arrested by Minglanilla police operatives led by Chief Insp. Franco Rudolf Oriol based on the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Jacinto Fajardo of RTC 7 Talisay City branch for homicide case.

Recovered from Aliño’s possession were a black belt containing a .9 mm pistol loaded with three bullets and three small sachets suspected to contain shabu.

Oriol alleged that Aliño’s victims were mostly those who could not remit the proceeds from the drug trade and rivals in the illegal drug activity. A big-time drug pusher in the area allegedly hired Aliño to shoot their targets.

Aliño reportedly went into hiding and seldom went home after he was placed on the priority list of drug personalities by Minglanilla police. Oriol urged the relatives of Aliño’s victims to come to their office for possible filing of additional charges against the suspect.
