The brother of Catmon town Mayor Dan Jusay surrendered himself to the police chief during the weekend.
Senior Insp. Roberto Hugo, chief of the Catmon police precinct, said the mayor’s younger brother went to him on Saturday and promised that he’ll stop selling shabu.
Hugo said Mayor Dan Jusay’s brother had been under surveillance and is included in the watchlist of the Catmon police, ranking number two for being able to sell 50 grams of shabu per week with a street value of P590,000.
The younger Jusay is a level three drug pusher who had been selling drugs for over a year now.
Hugo said the drug suspect sources from a Danao City supplier. But there was no shabu turned over to the police.
The younger Jusay is among the more than 70 drug users and pushers that have surrendered to the Catmon PNP since Saturday. The most recent included 20 drug pushers and users in barangay Macas Wednesday.
Under Oplan TokHang, they were made to sign an affidavit in which they pledged to stop using or selling illegal drugs. They were also profiled and documented during their surrender.
