Seven cops dismissed from service for illegal drug involvement

SEVEN police officers tested positive for drug use in Central Visayas since July 1, the Police Regional Office said Monday.

Chief Supt. Noli Talino, PRO-7 chief, said they were relieved of their posts and assigned at the Regional Holding and Administrative Unit pending an administrative investigation on them. “They can contest the findings but I’ll make sure they get dismissed from service,” Talino said. The names were withheld pending the result of an administrative investigation on them. Talino cautioned police officers not to get involved in illegal drugs.
