Elected Lapu-Lapu City officials take oath

REELECTED Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Paz Radaza recently took her oath of office before Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) Judge Allan Francisco Garciano last June 30.

This was followed by the oath-taking of the newly elected city councilors and reelected Representative Aileen Radaza.

The ceremony took place at Lapu-Lapu City Hall after the Mass at noon.

The reelected officials are Vice Mayor Marcial Ycong and councilors Harry Don Radaza, Eduardo Patalinjug, Roque Wagwag, Elias Berdin, Melissa Vidal and Leo Mercado. The neophyte councilors are lawyers Ricardo Amores, Nelson Yap, Flaviano Hiyas Jr., Gregorio Paquibot Jr., Dr. Cipriano Flores and Damian Gomez Jr.

Representatives of the top 25 business taxpayers in Lapu-Lapu City witnessed the inaugural session of the 14th Sangguniang Panlungsod.

“In my previous two terms, we were on a journey of institutionalizing good governance. We made sure that our local government unit is rooted in transparency and accountability. With your support, we’ve been winning the battle for good governance,” Mayor Radaza said in her inaugural speech.
All those who witnessed the occasion were served with snacks like puto, bibingka (rice cake), bud-bod, meat roll and juice, among others.
