DUATHLON enthusiasts are in for a thrill as the top duathletes from around the country will gather in the Queen City of the South for two duathlon events today.
The Sicad Club of Primary Structures Corporation will kickstart the day as they play host to the 1st Primary Group Builders (PGB) Duathlon at 5 a.m. in Compostela town, northern Cebu.
Heading the cast in the PGB Duathlon is national team member and Mandaue City’s Joland Olmilla, who is coming off a ninth place finish in the third leg of the Pilipinas Duathlon Series (PDS).
The event will also serve as a preparation for Olmilla for the final leg of the PDS, which is scheduled next month at the The Villages, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.
Meanwhile, the Go Active Marketing Events Inc. will provide action in southern Cebu as they host the Duraman Off Road Duathlon at 1 p.m. in Dalaguete, Cebu.
Race Director Jerome Mil said they purposely scheduled the race in the afternoon for the participants to appreciate the beauty of the town.
