An East Visayan Academy bus carrying 24 retirees and three employees, including the driver, fell on its side as it climbed an uphill road in Pit-os, Talamban at 9:30 am Sunday.
Bus driver Eduardo Cagas said the vehicle started going backwards during its uphill climb. Cagas said he decided to direct the bus towards the side of the uphill road to prevent the bus from going all the way down to the main road.
The retirees were headed to Genesis Valley, Cabangahan, Consolacion town for a meeting.
No one was reportedly hurt but all of the retirees were taken by the ERUF to the nearest hospital. Retrieval of the fallen bus is ongoing.
