Olmilla bags PGB duathlon 29-below title

CEBUANO duathlete Joland Olmilla topped the 29-below category of the 1st Primary Group of Builders (PGB) Duathlon yesterday in Compostela town, north Cebu.

The 23-year-old Olmilla from Mandaue City breasted the tape in one hour, 23 minutes and 12 seconds to beat Mitchel Pilapil (1:26:57) and Sulpecio Ombay (1:29:01) for the crown.

Meanwhile, Michael Largo pulled off a monumental upset as he went on to beat multi-titled triathlete and Ford Forza’s Elmo Clarabal to bag the 30-39 crown.

Largo finished in one hour, 24 minutes and seven seconds, fifty seconds ahead of Clarabal, who timed 1:24:57.

Other winners were Ramon Espinosa (40-above), Cherry Andrin (relay) and Lucille Ruiz (women’s).
