Capitol site fire victims need food, clothing, sleeping mats

FIRE victims of Sitio Ponce, Barangay Capitol Site need food, sleeping mats and clothes which they were unable to salvage from their homes.

As of 10:45 am, 90 families were confirmed to have been displaced by Tuesday night’s fire.

Most of them stayed at the barangay hall while others stayed at the basketball court near the fire site.

At least 70 houses were reported damaged by the fire which was reported at 6:46 p.m. on Tuesday.

Lack of access roads caused difficulties in reaching the fire site resulting to the alarm being escalated to Task Force Alpha as of 8 p.m.

In an interview Tuesday night, SFO3 Pier Angelo Abellana said the fire originated at the home of a certain Daisy Talaogon. A spark at on the main electric switch caused a fire that spread to neighboring homes made of light materials.
