Twenty candidates of Miss Universe New Zealand are in Cebu to have a photo shoot.
The candidates graced a press conference at Plantation Bay Resort and Spa held Tuesday afternoon. This year, two candidates with Filipino blood joined the competition.
“We didn’t want to let the ladies wear their bikinis during winter,” said Nigel Godfrey, Miss Universe New Zealand CEO and producer.
Also present in the conference were Jack Yan, co-director; Becky Ashley, pageant organizer and camp mother; Efren Belarmino, Plantation Bay general manager, and Hembler Mendoza, representative of Lapu-Lapu City.
The Miss Universe New Zealand event will be held at Sky City on September 3./UP Cebu Intern Maurice Villaester
