FROM Taiwan’s Sun Moon Lake, French hotelier Didier Belmonte trades the serene lake for a more vibrant ambiance by the sea as he takes his post in Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan as General Manager.
Didier will lead Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan’s management team and look after 290 rooms and villas, 4- food and beverage outlets and stirring the direction of the resort as it continues to work on improving service standard and providing better facilities with the ongoing renovation works to add more facilities to answer the growing demands of family travelers to the resort.
Having worked and managed Michelin star restaurants at the onset his career in food and beverage and moving on to lead operations, boutique hotels, historical landmark properties and island destinations in Maldives, Kuala Lumpur, Myanmar and the Middle East, and his French upbringing Didier is set to continue refine the excellent customer experience and service that Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan has been known for.
Didier’s hospitality interest was molded through his Hotellerie studies in France. His career in food and beverage started as captain at The Connaught restaurant in London and moved to work for four different Michelin star-rated restaurants in France and Germany before moving to Lebanon, Dubai, and Oman to continue to grow and hone his skills in food and beverage management.
From Middle East he moved to Asia to start his hotel management career holding his first executive post in Bali. His move to The Strand Yangon in Myanmar proved his leadership and management style as General Manager having surpassed all key indices and targets.
