COMING from a heartbreaking loss a few weeks ago, Bogo City native Jan Godfrey Seno knew that he had to bounce back in a big way as much as possible.
And that’s exactly what he did.
Seno of the National University (NU) Bulldogs scored a 6-1, 6-2 win over Norman Gaspar to take the 18-under boys crown of the Philippine Columbian Association (PCA) Open-Cebuana Lhuillier ATF Tour over the weekend in Paco, Manila.
His heartbreaking loss a week ago really took its toll on Seno as he lost some confidence coming into this tournament.
However, he managed to gather himself in the tournament, scoring victories against Manuel Ranzon, 6-1, 6-1; Marraphael Teng, 6-0, 6-1; before edging Gaspar in the finals.
“Coming from a loss in a big tournament the week before really affected my confidence,” Seno said. “Now at least I’m happy with the results of this tournament.”
