FORMER beauty queen Janine Tugonon is a step closer to her dream after she made it as one of 30 models invited to a final casting call for the global model search, NU Muses.
Janine, who finished first runner-up in Miss Universe 2012, is trying her luck to become one of the first calendar models of Nu Muses, a project of Treats magazine founder Steve Shaw and celebrity photographer David Bellemere.
“With such overwhelming, wonderful responses, we decided to select 30 models who will move forward to the next phase of this project. They were selected based off their profiles, personalities and social efforts,” Nu Muses said on its website.
From the Top 30, Nu Muses will choose 12 women to be its first calendar models. They will receive $10,000 and will be “photographed nude” by Bellemere at an “exclusive location.”
“Woohoo! Got in the Top 30 for Nu Muses! Thank you to the judges and everyone who voted. Really appreciate it! It’s gonna be fun, fun, fun. On to the final casting soon! Love you,” shared Janine on her Instagram.
The winners will also be “flown to Miami for the VIP launch event at Art Basel covered by major press outlets, featured in the December issue of Treats with the chance to grace to be the cover of the magazine, be and featured in a documentary to be shown on one of the largest TV networks in the USA and distributed worldwide.”
Early this month, Janine was also featured in an advertisement of the popular lingerie line Victoria’s Secret Pink.
