Dragons down Tech Mighties

WITH Niño Belande dishing off another brilliant all-around game, the Supportsave Dragons sustained their rampaging run as they blasted the Tech Mahindra Tech Mighties, 74–64, last Sunday in the EVO League 12th City Sports Club-Cebu (CSC-C) E-League for Basketball at the CSC-C Gym.

Belande finished with 25 points, 11 rebounds, eight steals, four assists and a block to lead the Dragons’ ninth victory in as many match.

EJ Saavedra erupted for 31 points and also had 12 boards, three assists, three steals and a block but he failed to get ample support from his teammates as the Tech Mighties tasted their second defeat in nine games.

In a battle of winless teams, the Teletech Titans finally ended a long drought as they whipped the Atos Falcons, 73–40.

Clyde Cadungog scored 17 points, Celso Jayme finished with 11, while Norman Sanchez chipped 10 in Teletech’s first victory after starting the tournament with nine straight losses.

John Rey Cabatingan had 14 markers as the Falcons further dropped to the bottom of the standings with a 0-10 (win-loss) card.

In other EVO League games, the Dyninno Raptors snatched their sixth win in 10 games by downing The Results Companies Spartans, 103–94, while the Contact Solutions Flying Lemurs climbed to 5-4 with a 84–72 spanking of the United Health Cobras.

Ellison Rivera exploded for 37 markers and hauled down 14 boards, Rainier Dominic Obenza dropped 24 markers, Loyola Ignatius scattered 15 and Antonio Reyes donated 10 for Dyninno.
