DID you miss seeing LizQuen on TV or on the big screen?
Two months after the finale of their hit TV series, “Dolce Amore,” Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil are working on a new film.
The movie has the working title “My Ex and Whys,” as announced by Star Creatives executive Roxy Liquigan.
Fans of Liza and Enrique got all excited over the announcement as the hashtag #MyExandWhyEqualsLIZQUEN trended last Thursday. Some of the fans have turned their excitement into creative posters of the film, that are now getting viral online.
The first teaser of the film was shown during the premiere night of the movie “The Third Party” last Tuesday. The film will be helmed by the acclaimed director Cathy Garcia-Molina.
In a video uploaded at the Star Cinema website, Cathy, who will direct a LizQuen movie for the first time, described it as romance and comedy combined.
She has already worked with Liza and Enrique in the teleserye “Forevermore” and some scenes for “Dolce Amore,” so now they are trying to try something “different” for LizQuen.
“This is a rom-com with, alam mo na ‘yung tipong may kurot. We are trying to showcase a new LizQuen kumbaga laman na ng TV ang mga ito from the past seven or eight months.
And prior to that, they had a very successful movie. Gusto sana nating di makita ‘yun sa bagong characters dito. So with that in mind, we build new characters that I hope they are excited about,” said the director.
Cathy said Enrique will play a womanizer, and that she hopes that with Liza’s new character, they can show a quirky side of the actress.
