SENIOR bowler Sonia Gakenholz earned a ticket to the Bowler of the Year race after she topped the October edition of the Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association’s “Bowler of the Month” tournament last Saturday at SM City Cebu Bowling Center.
Gakenholz topped the contest by knocking down a 1,251 pins. She averaged 208.5 pinfalls in the six-game series.
Lyn Oka trailed Gakenholz with 1,245 pinfalls while Roland Bantilan settled for third with 1,240. Beth Ngo placed fourth with 1,236 while Noel Tanyu landed at fifth spot with 1,21.
Other ‘Bowler of the Year’ qualifiers were Jomar Jumapao (September), Micmic Miranda (August), Ging Francisco (July), Jericho Jumapao (June), Sevilla (May), Noel Marquez (April), Fred Torrequemada (March), Alasagas (February) and Jerry Davis (January).
