During a forum between policemen and journalists, a police station chief raised an issue over one or two “media men” who solicit money from them.

He said he was forced to give money, thinking that they were being asked to donate to a “good cause.”

Another police station chief also shared the same experience.

The lady journalist who spoke during the seminar advised policemen not to heed solicitation requests from media practitioners.

“You are not obliged to give journalists money. Basta naay mangayo, basin dili na media. Basin komedya na,” she said.
