LAPU-LAPU CITY, Cebu—If there is something Miss Universe candidates love about Cebu, it is the mango.
Five candidates expressed their loves for Cebu mangoes during a news conference at JPark Island Resort and Waterpark in Lapu-Lapu on Tuesday.
Representatives from Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, Japan and Myanmar said they enjoyed their lunch especially with Cebu’s sweet mangoes.
The candidates arrived in Cebu early Monday morning and were scheduled to tour around Cebu.
Among the sites they would visit were Magellan’s Cross, and the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño in Cebu City.
Another batch of Miss Universe candidates were set to hold their own press conference at 2 p.m. on Tuesday also at JPark Island Resort and Waterpark Cebu.
They would be the candidates who went to Oslob town, Cebu to go whale-watching.
The JPark Island Resort and Waterpark Cebu will be the venue for Miss Universe swimwear presentation on Jan. 17, 2017.
