During a long trip, a taxi driver and his passenger began talking about their relationships.

The passenger asked the driver whether there were times when drivers pursued female passengers.

The driver said yes, although he only heard about it. “Then I want to be a taxi driver,” the passenger said. “But I have to tell my wife first.”

TAKE OUT TO GO

An overseas Filipino worker who dined at a local restaurant with her family wanted another serving of cole slaw.

She called a waiter and asked for coleslaw “to go.” The waiter, not knowing what “to go” was, stared at the customer before taking note of the order.

When he came back, the coleslaw wasn’t wrapped. It was then that the worker’s family explained to her that in the Philippines, most restaurants only understand “take out” or “take home” orders.

NOT A SNUB

Rumor has it that a local official allegedly snubbed a national official whom he supported in the last elections after this VIP dropped by Cebu to attend an important event.

The national official’s detractors used this incident to question the local official’s loyalty.

But reporters who were at the event said this was not the case. The local official only left the event because he was late for another important activity.
