Councilman nabbed for drugs at checkpoint

A BARANGAY councilman was arrested for illegal drug possession at a checkpoint in Barangay Inuburan, Naga City at 10 p.m. last Wednesday.

Senior Insp. Adrian Nalua of the Naga City police said police found several sachets of shabu from 33-year-old councilman Kister John Abangan and his 32-year-old companion Gerarld Geonson worth P6,000.

The two men came from Barangay Inuburan in Naga City when they were flagged down by the police.

Abangan surrendered to police when it conducted Oplan TokHang in their area in Barangay North Poblacion.
