CEBU’S engineers and architects take to the court once again for pride and bragging rights as the Architects + Engineers Basketball Club Davies Paints Cup 2017 kicks off tonight at the University of San Carlos gym.
Defending champion Bio-Fresh, which will be bannered by standouts from the Arki Datu Lapu Lapu chapter, will lead the six-team field. It will be getting stiff opposition from the likes of 2015 champions and last year’s runners-up, Fusion, which will be represented by mechanical engineers. Also competing are Sun and Rain, Megacryl, ElastoGel Ultra and SuperDry Extreme.
Teams will compete in a single round-robin with the top four finishers advancing to the semifinals. The top two teams will own a twice-to-beat advantage over the other two.
The league was formed for licensed architects and engineers professionals to forge camaraderie through the game of basketball.
