WRONG NAMES

A military official committed a faux pas during a speaking engagement when he mispronounced not one but two names of local officials as he introduced them.

Instead of (Vice Gov. Agnes) Magpale, he read out the name as “Magpala” while an official with a family name of Jalad was called “Salad.”

SCARED OF VANS

A group of kids headed for home got scared by the sight of a van that transported some reporters back to their offices.

The white van suddenly stopped near the children and reporters were surprised by the alarm on the children’s faces after they opened the van door.

Probably thinking it was safer to flee, the children then started running away just as the reporters were about to get out of the vehicle.

PRAY AND WATCH OUT

An official who talked about earthquakes urged people to be prepared as well as to pray.

However, he pointed out that when praying, people should not close their eyes.

Otherwise, the official said, no matter how hard they pray, the people may still be hit by falling debris because their eyes are closed and they couldn’t see anything.
