With the market now going for more practical vehicles, Chevrolet is making sure it isn’t going to lag behind.
And the Trax subcompact SUV is one of the reasons why Chevy is confident it can cope with the demand.
The Trax is the epitome of practicality in the American carmaker’s lineup as proven after a weekend drive with Cebu Daily News courtesy of Chevrolet Cebu.
Chevy says the Trax is an urban crossover and we couldn’t agree more. In the city, it passes with flying colors with its light steering, responsive engine and compact size that is just right for our tight roads.
The 1.4-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine is practical for everyday motoring. It is also a performer with a power output of 140 PS and 200 newton meter of torque.
It has the right tech feature inside that can make wives happy and a lot of compartments that can satisfy the kids’ stuff.
It really seems to be the perfect city SUV for the family.
The only weakness we see is the Trax’s inability to stand out. It doesn’t look bad, don’t get us wrong. But it’s one SUV that won’t attract attention either.
Chevy just recently fixed that, though, as it launched a facelifted version of the Trax at the Manila International Auto Show.
With this development, we believe the Trax is going to keep Chevy blazing in the subcompact SUV category.
