USC lets go of Juezan

DUE TO the recent reorganization of the different athletic programs of the elementary, high school and collegiate levels, the University of San Carlos (USC) decided to cut its ties with long time girls volleyball mentor Vannesa Juezan.

USC athletic director Adriano Ocariza confirmed the move to Cebu Daily News.

“It was already effective last March 21. I was reorganizing our athletics program since most of the coaches from elementary and tertiary are on a contractual basis,” Ocariza said.

CDN tried to contact Juezan, who was responsible for helping the Warriors win numerous titles in the league, including remarkable back-to-back championship victories in 2013 and 2014, but calls made were unreturned.

With Juezan gone, Ocariza said USC boys’ assistant coach Dennis Sepulveda will be taking the coaching reins for the girls’ team in the upcoming season.
