RDAK Transport Equipment and the Pinoy Youth Dreamers will be staging a summer-long basketball camp called “Basketball and Character Camp 2017” at the Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue.
Headed by four-time Cesafi juniors champions Rommel Rasmo of the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Magis Eagles, and Beaujing Acot, founder and director of the Pinoy Youth Dreamers, the camp will not only strive to develop the campers’ basketball skills but also their character as well, in line with their credo “Touching Hearts, Changing Lives.”
Camp backer Regan King said the camp seeks to make a difference in the players’ lives by using basketball for something more than the game itself.
“This camp is more of inspiring kids and to develop their character through basketball. We are building their confidence and will to excel in whatever they do. We are also training their kids to become good leaders through sports,” said King.
The camp began yesterday and will last until May 4 for a total of 15 sessions. Sessions start at 1 p.m. and end at 3:30 p.m.
