AFTER an unforgettable April in which he won a total of 13 titles, Cebuano tennis sensation Marc Nicole Suson remained hot as summer after he took home the 16-under boys plum last Thursday in the Cebuana Lhuillier Age Group Tennis Championships in Butuan City.
The University of Cebu ace who has amassed nine of his 13 titles in Cebuana Lhuillier-sanctioned tournaments, dominated Stephen Guia 6-3, 1-0. Guia retired in the second set after suffering from cramps.
“We have always believed that we will find promising players in the provinces, who, given the opportunity, can emerge and become champions,” said Jean Henri Lhuillier, President/CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier.
The victory was Suson’s eighth over Guia this year in all Cebuana Lhuillier competitions.
