JOSEPH Miller showcased his mastery in off-road triathlon after bagging the overall title in the DX Dirt Cross Triathlon in Bogo City, northern Cebu yesterday.
The 38-year-old Miller of Lapu-Lapu City, who finished eighth in the overall race of the XTerra Asia-Pacific Championships held in Malaysia last month, clocked one hour, 38 minutes and 43 seconds to rule the race organized by Cornerstone Group, the same organizers of the 80/80 Triathlon series.
He finished the one-kilometer swim in 19:05, conquered the 20k bike in 45:34 and completed the 7k run in 31:53.
Finishing second was Rosalito Albina (1:43.15) while Ralph Arce (1:45.29) completed the top three.
In the distaff side, international marathoner Amale Jopson emerged champion with a time of 2:22.26.
Lucille Ruiz (2:27.02) and Pamela Ruiz (2:38.48) were her runners-up.
