ORGANIZERS of the annual Hunat Sugbu: Dagan Para Ni Maning are happy with the number of registrants for the race slated June 25 at the Terraces of the Ayala Center Cebu.
In the latest count, 537 runners have already enlisted, according to Cebu Parklane International Hotel’s general manager Cenelyn Manguilimotan.
“We are very happy of the positive outcome of our ongoing registration. We are expecting more runners to register starting June,” she said.
The running event pays tribute to the slain president of Cebu Parklane International Hotel, Manuel G. Ting.
Distances include 21k half marathon, 12k, 6k and 3k.
The race will also serve as a charity event. Part of the proceeds will be used for a medical mission in partnership with Jesu Christi. A portion of the proceeds will also be donated to the Cebu Ultra Runners Club, the group behind the “Basura Run.”
Registration fee is P400 for the 3k race, P500 for 6k, P700 for P12k and P800 for 21k.
Registration is going on at the Parklane lobby and at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC). Starting June 5, a registration booth will be opened at the Active Zone of the Ayala Center Cebu.
