COLD CASH
Netizens in Cebu were shocked upon learning about reports of P30 million in cash that was stashed in styrofoam boxes last Sunday evening.
Flora May wrote, “Karon lang ko naka balo ug na hitabo na millions gi butang lang sa styrofoam sakay sa barko. Grabi najud ning ubang tao (It’s only now that I learned about the millions that were placed inside styrofoam and taken on board a boat. Some people are so excessive).”
Another netizen, Francisco Ybas, wrote, ”Kinsa kaha nakatagiya ining pagkadako lang jud sa kwarta. proceeds ni sa ginadiling droga (Who owns that large amount of cash? It may proceeds from illegal drugs sales).”
Trab Ariel was quick to reply: “Basin pud kai grabi ka dako sa money, cold cash nya i sulod lang sa styrofoam (Maybe since it involved a huge amount of cold cash, it had to be stored in styrofoam)?”
The three men who allegedly carried P30 million from Cagayan de Oro while headed to Cebu are now being investigated.
