Task Force Boniel officially ended their search and retrieval operation for the remains of Bien Unido mayor Gisela Bendong Boniel, and their efforts proved futile.
Netizens still hope that Gisela’s death will not be in vain.
Alex Autida wrote, “Sad kaau paminawon na dili ma kita ang lawas pero lig.on man sad ang mga evidences ug testimonies (It’s sad to learn that the body won’t be seen, but the evidences and testimonies are strong). As long as justice will not served the late mayor will not rest in eternal peace.”
Another netizen named Maria Elizabeth Navaroza said, ”Kasad nalang. Hinaot nga pakonsensiyahon sila sa ilang mga gipang buhat ug (It’s sad. I hope that those who committed the crime will have their consciences haunted). Justice will be served.”
Francis Atied also commented, “Unta ma dali ang kaso para matagaan siyag hustisya ug maka pahulay na intawn siya (I hope the case will be expedited so justice will be served and she can rest in peace).”
