Veteran Tillor, Andrin shine in World Vision Run

MULTI-TITLED long-distance runner Noel Tillor, and Lovely Fe Andrin emerged winners in the 21-kilometer race of the World Vision Run yesterday at the Cebu Business Park.

Tillor, a former Milo Marathon Cebu-leg champion and now a full-time triathlete, clocked one hour, 30 minutes and 30 seconds to win the men’s title.

The 18-year-old Andrin, on the other hand, ruled the women’s crown by crossing the finish line in 1:42.34.

Jong Hwang (1:35.17) and Aldrin Rustom Pasumala (1:36.14) were runners up in the men’s race. Ishe Los Baños (1:56.00) and El Marie Albeos (2:04.59) finished second and third, respectively, in the distaff side.

In the 10k race, Klint Tyler Selma and Reah Mae Garrucho were crowned champions after clocking 40:36 and 46:54, respectively. Champions in the 5k distance were Rider Omega Pro Triathlon’s junior athletes Karen Andrea Manayon (21:43) and Renz Wynn Corbin (20:08).

Rider Omega’s Moira Frances Erediano (14:06) and Ernesto Villarva (12:12) were the winners in the 3k race.

Meanwhile. World Vision Public Relations and Communications manager Genesis Lamigo said they were delighted with the huge turnout of Cebu City’s first hosting of their fundraising running event.

“This proves that a lot of people are very interested, not just in our running, but also in our cause,” said Lamigo.
