Southwestern University (SWU)- Phinma’s Therese Rae Ramas has been named as the skipper of the Cesafi All-Star team that will go up against the formidable F2 Logistics Cargo Movers in the first Cesafi All Star Weekend this Friday at the University of San Carlos (USC) Main gym.
All-star team head coach Grace Antigua of the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) said that she believes in the capabilities of Ramas to lead a team full of superstars and work as a cohesive unit in their game against the Cargo Movers on Friday and Saturday.
Ramas, the team captain of the reigning league champions SWU-Phinma and the 2016 Cesafi Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP), has led the Lady Cobras to an unprecedented four-peat both in the Cesafi indoor and beach volleyball competitions.
“I picked Ramas not only because she is coming from the champion team but also because I believe (that) she can lead the group,” Antigua said.
Joining Ramas in the All-Star team are his fellow SWU-Phinma teammates Janelle Cabahug, Dyan Darantinao and Dij Rodriguez, University of Southern Philippines Foundation’s Jan Gayo and Cristylyn Seludo and USC’s Debbie Gamboa, Marie Malagar, and Cris Jezza Estose.
Completing the All-Star lineup are Jackie Singson, Daniella Alfeche, Paula Maninang, Linlyn Torado and Sheen Durango of USJ-R, and Christer Claro and Ellen Joy Gumandoy of the University of Cebu.
